MedThreads

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 21, 2026

MedThreads is provided by USMLE Buddy AI ("we", "us"). When you use MedThreads you are contracting with USMLE Buddy AI. By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms.

The service

MedThreads is an interactive study map of high-yield USMLE concepts and the connections between them, with voice explanations and an optional AI tool for creating personal concepts. You must be of legal age to form a contract (or have a parent's or guardian's permission), and if you use it for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

Your account

Provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse MedThreads, including:

  • using it for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or for spam;
  • infringing anyone's intellectual property or uploading content you have no right to use;
  • interfering with security — spreading malware, probing or attacking our systems, or scraping content;
  • reverse engineering, reselling, or circumventing usage limits;
  • using the AI tool to create illegal, hateful, harassing or deceptive content, or attempting to jailbreak or bypass its safeguards.

AI-generated content

AI drafts may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for what you enter, for reviewing and verifying outputs, and for how you use them. MedThreads is an educational study aid, not medical advice, and is not a substitute for professional clinical judgement. We do not guarantee any exam result. We may remove or restrict content, filter outputs, or suspend accounts that violate these terms. Rights-holders can report infringing content to usmlebuddyai@gmail.com; repeated infringement leads to termination.

Intellectual property

USMLE Buddy AI owns MedThreads and its software, content, documentation and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it for personal study within your plan. You keep rights to your own notes; you let us store and process them only to provide the service.

Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, taxes, renewal, cancellation and refunds are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Plans and prices are shown on our Pricing page; see also our Refund Policy.

Service availability

We work to keep MedThreads running well, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits or data), and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using MedThreads at any time. When an account ends, its personal concepts may be deleted.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the updated version. Questions: usmlebuddyai@gmail.com.
